Health Systems Strengthening

Building Inclusive and Resilient Health Systems for All

At GrowthAid, we are committed to advancing health equity through health systems strengthening, especially in underserved and marginalized communities. By partnering with government ministries, civil society organizations, faith-based networks, and community health workers (CHWs), we strive to contribute to ensuring universal and sustainable access to high-quality health services UHC.

What we do

In resource-poor areas, healthcare facilities often lack adequate Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) infrastructure, essential for positive health outcomes. GrowthAid focuses on enhancing WASH services in healthcare settings, contributing directly to improved maternal and newborn health, reducing infection spread, and creating safer environments for patients and staff.

Service Delivery

We provide WASH services to ensure reliable access to clean water, adequate sanitation, and hygiene supplies in healthcare facilities. This enhances maternal and child health outcomes and reduces infection rates. Additionally, we support facilities with logistics like essential medicines, diagnostic kits, and cold boxes for vaccine preservation, crucial for immunization and other health services.

Capacity Building

GrowthAid trains healthcare personnel and CHWs in the operation and maintenance of WASH systems to ensure sustainability. We also offer refresher courses on identifying, diagnosing, and managing Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), empowering health workers to deliver timely care.

Comprehensive Health Coverage

GrowthAid advocates for the inclusion of NTD diagnosis, treatment, and management in social health insurance schemes. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on marginalized and ultra-poor individuals while expanding the coverage benefits of these schemes.

Community-Centered Integration

Our approach promotes strategic partnerships between community health structures, public and private healthcare providers, and faith-based networks. By integrating WASH services into broader health initiatives, we improve hygiene practices, reduce infections, and enhance maternal and newborn health, strengthening the overall healthcare system.

How we do it

At GrowthAid, we strengthen health systems through strategic partnerships with government ministries, civil society organizations, faith-based networks, community health workers, and other key stakeholders. These collaborative efforts enhance local health systems, promote universal health coverage (UHC), and contribute to the development of resilient, inclusive healthcare environments for all.
