From Projects to Platforms: Investing in Climate-Resilient WASH at Scale

How GrowthAid is Scaling Climate-Resilient WASH Through Investable Infrastructure

For over 20 years, GrowthAid has delivered water, sanitation, health, livelihoods, and climate-resilient development in underserved communities across West and east Africa. We are now deliberately evolving beyond traditional project delivery with a humanitarian lens to an asset-based approach with predictable cashflows capable of attracting blended and catalytic finance.

GrowthAid is building an investment-ready platform for climate-resilient WASH and livelihoods.

Why This Shift Matters:

Despite universal recognition of WASH as essential infrastructure, the sector remains structurally under-financed. Not because of weak demand, but because most delivery models are not designed for capital, risk management, or long-term performance.

GrowthAid is closing that gap: We originate, aggregate, and steward portfolios of small, climate-resilient WASH assets, transforming dispersed community systems into service-based infrastructure capable of attracting blended and catalytic finance.

What Makes the GrowthAid Platform Different

    • Asset-based, not project-based
WASH systems are structured as long-term service assets with predictable cashflows (PAYG tariffs, service contracts, household contributions).
    • Designed for blended finance
Assets are aggregated into diversified portfolios, enabling concessional capital to de-risk early stages and crowd in follow-on private and institutional finance.
    • Climate-smart by design
Climate resilience is embedded at asset level—addressing drought, floods, salinity, and groundwater stress using climate intelligence and adaptive design.
    • Last-mile credibility, capital-market discipline
Two decades of community trust and public-sector partnerships combined with strong fiduciary systems, performance monitoring, and risk management.
    • Long-term stewardship
We remain accountable beyond grant cycles, ensuring service continuity, governance integrity, and asset performance over time.

Our Role in the Financing Ecosystem

GrowthAid acts as a trusted originating partner for donors, DFIs, and catalytic investors, absorbing early-stage complexity and last-mile risk so capital can flow with confidence.

We are not seeking perpetual grants.
We are building a scalable pathway that transforms WASH from a grant-constrained sector into a resilient, investable public-service asset class.

Partner With Us

We invite catalytic partners to co-design and capitalize this platform across West and East Africa.
